Dear athletes,
- After a large amount of pressure from some sectors, we have decided to have all finals for
the 60m, 100m, 200m sprints at the designated finals times – NOT heat times.
This will mean if you have heats for your sprints, you must check in 1 hour before the event heat
time.
If at close of check in for each sprints heat, there are 10 or less for the 60m & 100m and 8 or less for
the 200m, those events will proceed to straight finals at the scheduled final time and you do not
need to check in again for those finals.
If it is a straight final from the get go, you must sign in 1 hour before that final event – this applies to
all track events, including the Women’s Pentathlon 100m.
There is a new updated version of the timetable available on this website. - Registration packs and bib numbers will be available for collection on Thursday March 5 at
the AIS Commonwealth Room, located up in the grandstand of the Track and Field Athletics
Centre from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm. - Registration packs and bib numbers will also be available at Masson St Throwing Field for the
Hammer events on Friday March 6. - Registration packs and bib numbers will be available throughout Day 2 at the AIS
Commonwealth Room - Registration packs will be available from the Multi-Function Room at Woden Athletic Park on
Days 3 & 4 – do not go to the AIS on Days 3 & 4 to collect your registration packs or bib
numbers! - You will be able to collect your registration packs and bib numbers from Stromlo Forest Park
on the morning of Day 4 if you have not been able to collect before for the Cross Country
and Road Walk. - The AIS Track and Field Centre is generally open to the public for Monday to Thursday from
3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with some weekend availability typically 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, though
hours vary significantly due to bookings. You will need to go to the AIS Aquatic Centre to
purchase tickets to train. - Warming up will only be available on the back straight while there are no races needing the
full track during Days 1 & 2 of competition. - Woden Athletic Park will be open for some training on Thursday from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A
small entry fee will be necessary. - Warming up will be available adjacent to the track in Eddison Park, however there will be no
throwing outside the infield area except when the Weight Throw cage is in use for
competition. Drills are permitted at the two shot circles in Eddison Park, but no implements
allowed. - Masson St Throwing Field is public ground and will be available for throwing training at any
time except Friday March 6. You MUST take all precautions when training here as it is public
ground and there are no fences to stop people just coming onto the venue.
